Free Access to Red Frog Beach

By staying at Bocas Bound, you will have free immediate access to Red Frog Beach where you can surf, tan, play beach volleyball…all within a stone throw away! And you can hike to several more secluded beaches on Bastimentos. Red Frog Beach is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the Bocas del Toro archipelago, but each beach has its own personality and dynamic features of jungle, coral, and waves. If you want a little peace and quiet, Turtle beach is mere minutes away by foot which has calmer waves and more secluded. Located approximately 45 minutes by foot, North Beach has good snorkelling spots.

If you stay in Bocas town, be prepared to spend money to get to a beach.

Red Frog Beach is named for the small endangered red frogs that Isla Bastimentos is famous for. Surfers from all over the world seek out this place for immediate surfing during the swell seasons and to get to outlying surf breaks minutes away from here as well. The beach has about 3/4 mile long stretch of beautiful white sand and is very popular with the locals and visitors alike.
