Isla Bastimentos is the place to be if you visit Bocas del Toro because it has so many natural amenities that you can immediately access. If you choose to stay in Bocas Town you will have to take the daily water taxi to get to Isla Bastimentos which costs money. If you stay on Isla Bastimentos, you will only have to pay this fee when arriving and leaving.
The food is also very affordable at Kayucos Island Restaurant at Bocas Bound:

- Dinner (5.00+)
By staying at Bocas Bound, you will also have free access to Red Frog Beach (8 minute walk through a jungle trail), one of the most beautiful beaches in the archipelago. There are no beaches in Bocas Town that you can access quickly.
Lastly, Bocas Bound charges only $13 per night which is a great deal!! You get a clean comfortable bed, access to Isla Bastimentos, and access to so many island amenities.
