Service Based Vacations

Bocas Bound will offers a unique Vacation Package in Bocas del Toro that combines environmental awareness and community service opportunities. Guests can participate in an array of unique experiences including service projects that directly impact local Island Indian Communities. The Island and Rainforest setting also offers activities that highlight the complex ecology and diverse habitats within a World Heritage Site. The goal of this program is that each guest will have an enriching experience where they more deeply appreciate native cultures and the pristine environment.

Groups up to 20 people can be accommodated in dorm-styled lodging. The types of Groups that participate in this program are: Schools, Scouts, Corporations, Clubs, Business Retreats, Mission Groups, Families, and University Groups.

Bocas Bound has a 6-week internship program that focuses on an interns particular interest or expertise: animal habitats(including frogs and turtles), local school training,  tropical gardening, marine biology, conservation, and more. These internships cost the intern $1,500 and includes lodging.

Rates: Includes 6 days of dorm styled lodging in Bocas Bound, food and custom itinerary:

  • Groups of 5 or less: $7500
  • Groups of 10 or less: $9500
  • Groups of 15 or less: $11,500
  • Groups of 20 or less: $15,000

Sample Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Hike to National Marine Park (Guided Tour)
  • Day 2: Tour Smithsonian; Eric Nyman Gardens (Inca and Mayan sustainability) Tropical Farming (Plant a tree)
  • Day 3: Service Activity at local community Bahia Honda
  • Day 4: Service Activity in Bocas Town – Dolphin Bay – Starfish Alley
  • Day 5: Zip line Canopy Tour – Rainforest Education day
  • Day 6: Cave Tour and kayaking around mangroves – Marine Eco-systems
