The Weather

With an average annual temperature of 82F, Bocas Bound located in Bocas Del Toro is the perfect getaway anytime of the year.  Technically the Rainy season is May & June and again November & December.  However, some of the sunniest times of the year there are in the “rainy season.” Temperatures year-round are about 82 degrees. Many people compare the climate of Bocas Del Toro to the Hawaiian island of Kauai (although the water is warmer in the Caribbean).

Since long-term weather patterns for Bocas del Toro are so difficult to predict and due to the lack of weather detecting equipment in the area, most internet weather forecast sites just leave a forecast as rainy all year long on Bastimentos. However, that is simply not true. Often times it rains at night and the morning and with sunny skies in the afternoon. This is a rain forest so you should anticipate rain during your stay in Bocas del Toro.

Bocas Bound has the largest covered activity area in the Bocas del Toro Archipelago at Kayucos. When it does rain, this open air Restaurant/Lounge is the best place to find things to do and mix with other travelers.
